Sandy soil, a high water table, flood zones and salt air all work against a building here. We size footings for the soil, include flood openings where required, choose mortar and metal ties that resist corrosion, and build a clear drainage path at every joint and opening.
About A & A FoundationsWe’re based in Beaufort, SC and work across the county. If your project is outside these communities, call (843) 812-9759 and ask.
Start with a description of what you want built and where. Plans and photos help when you have them, but you do not need them to get a conversation started. For additions, we build the foundation and masonry alongside your builder, not the whole addition.
Send plans, wall sections, material selections and the proposed start date to antonio@aafoundations.com. We quote the foundation, masonry or waterproofing work you need and coordinate details with your other trades.
Exterior changes in the City of Beaufort’s historic district, including masonry, chimneys and porch columns, usually need a Certificate of Appropriateness from the city. Outside city limits, Beaufort County’s Historic Preservation Review Board covers properties listed on or eligible for the National Register.
